About html:-HTML stands for Hyper Text Markup Language, the most widely used language on the Web to develop web pages. It was originally invented by Tim Berners - Lee in the early 1990s and was based on an earlier markup language called SGML (Standard Generalized Markup Language), based on an earlier format simply called GML (Generalized Markup Language) developed by IBM in the 1960s.
